The Musicology Seminar Detmold/Paderborn congratulates Prof Dr Anna Plaksin on being accepted into the "Young Academy" of the Mainz Academy of Sciences and Literature. Anna Plaksin is a professor at the Musicology Seminar Detmold/Paderborn and conducts research into digital methods of music and media editing at the KreativInstitut.OWL and the Centre for Music - Edition - Media (ZenMEM).
The Young Academy has been an integral part of the Mainz Academy since 2016 and offers researchers a forum for interdisciplinary exchange across all subject boundaries. This wide range of disciplines, which includes literature and music professionals as well as researchers, offers a unique environment and ideal opportunities for further activities. Especially as researchers in the transdisciplinary cross-sectional area between Musicology, Digital Humanities and Computer Science, this opens up great opportunities for future research activities. Inclusion in the Junge Akademie is a great honour for the research achievements.
Professor Plaksin is part of the third cohort (2026-2030), in which 50 new members have been accepted: https://www.adwmainz.de/aktivitaeten/aktuelles/details/50-neue-mitglieder-fuer-die-junge-akademie-mainz-nachwuchsfoerderungsprogramm-startet-2026-in-die-dritte-runde
