The orientation phase of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the summer semester 2026 will take place from 7-10 April. The programme is aimed at all first-year students (Bachelor's and Master's) and includes a campus tour, subject introductions and help with timetabling to make the start of your studies easier.
The orientation days begin on Tuesday, 7 April, with the central first semester welcome in Paderborn. On the same day, you will have the opportunity to meet Melissa Maria Korbmacher, student advisor for Musicology, between 1 and 3 pm and between 3 and 5 pm in room Q2.101 as part of the subject introduction .
On Friday 10 April, you will also have the opportunity to get to know the Musicology seminar directly on site in Detmold (Hornsche Straße 39, 32756 Detmold), where the majority of Musicology classes take place. If you are travelling from Paderborn, you are welcome to meet the student council at the main train station to travel to Detmold together. If you live in Detmold, you can come directly to the Musicology seminar at the beginning of the O-Day. We look forward to welcoming you as new students to Detmold!

12:21 h: RB 72 from Paderborn to Detmold

13:30 h: Meet at the Musicology Seminar (Hornsche Str. 39, 32756 Detmold, entrance through the library or the back entrance), introductory round with the Musicology Student Council
13:50 h: Welcome by the head of the department and programme, Prof. Dr. Dominik Höink
14:00 h: PAUL / KOMO introduction, seminar allocation
14:45 h: Campus tour
Open end for all MuWi students:
From 15:30 h: Joint MuWi barbecue in the AStA pavilion
